Barred Rocks reigned as king of the United States’ broiler industry for over 100 years. Their reliability, adaptability, health, and quality kept them immensely popular until the rise of the Cornish cross hybrid in the mid-1900s.
The line – Our BPRs are our most storied and sought-after line. They were purchased from famed breeder Ralph Sturgeon in 1958 and have been meticulously maintained by Frank ever since.
